Forming part of an ongoing mythological system, New Goddess, the narrative draws from the folktale of Luo Dong Nü from Southeast China, in which women are claimed as brides of cave deities. While framed as a divine event, this account is often entangled with violence in lived reality. In folk traditions from regions such as Guangxi, caves were widely used as burial sites, making the act of “falling into a cave” a symbolic passage toward disappearance and a threshold between life and death. In rewriting this narrative, another possibility is proposed through the translation of a mythic poem into visual form. A meteor strikes the cave, and time begins to move backward. Hair becomes a material that draws the soul back into the world, carrying her toward a room that merges with her body, a place belonging to the moon.
传说中,女性被视为洞神的新娘,这种被包装为神意的事件,在现实中常与暴力相连。在广西等地的民俗语境中,洞穴曾广泛作为墓穴使用,使“落洞”成为一条将生命导向消失的象征性通道,也构成生与死之间的临界状态。 在对这一叙事进行重写时,作品提出了另一种可能,并尝试将神话诗转译为视觉形式。流星击中洞窟,时间开始倒退。头发转化为一种将灵魂拉回现实的材料,引导其回到一个与身体相互融合的房间,一个属于月亮的空间。
